Because of the new structure of Serve the City Tilburg our committee Serve the Grey set out to find new collaboration partners.
On Tuesday the 21th of January we made pancakes for the residents of care home Joannes Zwijsen.
We agreed in advance to collect at 9:30 am in our room (E205), see photo above.
Once on location we were warmly welcomed by an employee named Marian. She first gave us an explanation about the care home itself. She then gave us a small tour in the building.
We were supposed to provide for pancakes for three different departments. We were present with a total of six volunteers.
We split up in three groups of two. One person would make the pancakes and the other would serve the pancakes.
Before and after eating we socialized with the elderly. They were very enthusiastic and they really liked it that we visited them and even made pancakes for them.
We had a pleasant and successful morning/ afternoon! All volunteers have had a nice chat with the residents.
On behalf of Serve the City Tilburg we would like to thank the care home very much for their hospitality. In addition, we naturally want to thank the volunteers for their efforts!
